They say that
Quran states in verse 2:222 “menstruating women are unclean, and men just stay
away from them”
Here, the
word أَذَىَ is used, this world has two meanings,
one of them is حرام
(haram*) and other is impurity. Here,
the world is used in the sense of haram. But the people are deforming the
meaning of word in the other sense. It’s the rule of grammar that there are
several meanings of one words in different perspectives. That’s why after
implementing all those changes and improvements. The verse again reforms as
“Menstruating women are in harm, and men (should) just stay away from them, and
do not approach them until they are done with their menstruation.” Here,
approach is formal physical approach that a husband and wife have in their
married life.
* Haram is used to refer to any act that
is forbidden in Islam.
Verse 2: 223
According to them, the verse
states that “Women
are men’s fields and men can have sex with them whenever they want”. Well a bitter improved translation of the same verse
in the sense in which it should be expressed is, “Your wives are a
place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however
you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves.”
So, according to biological sciences, the inner of the
women is a cultivating and fertilizing place where the fetus develops and
nourishes. This is the place where new infant is cultivated, and the word field
or place of sowing seed is used as a simile here. That resembles in general the
same cultivation process in plants, as well. And this cultivation is done by
the mutual understanding of both the male and female and another important
thing is this that there it is mentioned that come to your place however you
wish. That means that without sperms, fertilization is incomplete, that’s why
they say. Men should come but there you can’t say that men are dominant over
women because this is not the matter of dominance, it’s the matter of
dependence and independence.
Verse 4: 34
What they translate is “Men are superior to women and have
authority over them, while women must obey men or risk being beaten”
So, this is the fundamental phenomena that there are
variations in society, there are variations among different parameters. Same is
the case of men and women, Both are biologically, emotionally and socially
different. That’s why there are difference that are evident. But the question
is whether these differences, men are superior or not. So the answer is Yes !
Men are superior, they are superior but superior in the sense of duties and
women are superior in the terms of rights. This is the basic rule. Now, If a
specific person or a troop doesn’t obeys this, blame them not Islam.
Second thing is the matter of
beating. There is actually a gradual approach as stated in the actual
translation “Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one
over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So
righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what
Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance -
[first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and
[finally], strike them”. This says that a women of found in matters like that
she must be first taught and explained, and if she doesn’t avoids that, husband
may not sleep with her. This is emotional therapy in modern terms. And then
beaten and this is the universal rule, when a prisoner is caught in a prison
and asked verbally and if he rejects or anything like that, then he is tortured
at the end, unfortunately and un willingly.
